Description
At the time of its construction in 1987, Queen Charlotte
Square was the first of the downtown models combining
residential and commercial usages. This stately
complex occupies an entire city block in the
Charlottesville downtown historic area and consists of a
commercial office building on East High Street and a
building of luxury residential units on East Jefferson,
connected by a parking deck and garage. Queen
Charlotte Square’s classical architecture blends well
among the notable old structures in the area including
the nearby historic Jeffersonian Courthouse that was
frequented by Presidents and other celebrated personages
in the early days of Charlottesville and the new Nation. |
